Extruded flat bar
Pick a section, then enter your cut length and quantity. Extruded bar carries its own temper designation; bar and a piece sawn from plate are different product forms even when their dimensions match.
Planning the finished dimensions
Nominal thickness, width and saw-cut length are starting dimensions. Allow material for facing, squaring or finish machining, and state tighter dimensional or surface requirements before ordering.
6061 is used for machined brackets, mounting components and general fixtures. Sharp tools, chip evacuation and appropriate cutting fluid help machining and finish.
Saw cuts and machining allowance
Our standard saw-cut tolerance is +1/8″ / −0″ on cut length. Allow material for facing and finish machining. A different tolerance agreed on your order takes precedence.
Section thickness, width and straightness follow the supplied mill or producer specification. Full mill-stock pieces ship uncut and retain mill tolerances.
