Extruded round bar
Pick a diameter, then enter your cut length and quantity. Extruded bar carries its own temper designation. Confirm that this product form and temper match the drawing before ordering.
Planning the finished dimensions
Allow for facing the saw-cut ends and turning or finishing the outside diameter. A nominal stock diameter is not a precision-ground diameter or a finished-part tolerance.
Use sharp tooling and effective chip control. Choose a machining allowance appropriate to the supplied stock and the finished geometry.
Saw cuts and machining allowance
Our standard saw-cut tolerance is +1/8″ / −0″ on cut length. Allow material for facing and finish machining. A different tolerance agreed on your order takes precedence.
Diameter and straightness follow the supplied mill or producer specification. Full mill-stock pieces ship uncut and retain mill tolerances.
